Supercat Studios - Good Music Made BetterHere's someone we had to mention. FreeRocker has been friends with this guy for a long while now, and we felt that we should mention what he's been up to.

There's a small town in British Columbia that is pretty, much like any small town nestled by mountains and fresh running water. It has it's yearly parades and local chamber of commerce and town fairs and such. Well, we don't know about the town fair, but it should even if it doesn't. Needless to say, we're trying to paint a quaint little picture of this quiet little town.

Now, this is where it gets more interesting. Take said town and add hard rock and heavy metal. Stir it all up and what do you get? A small town that actually supports this wonderful noise when the closet they had to crime last weekend was when a dog broke the local noise bylaw by barking too loudly. Yes, I am exaggerating, but not by much. This is apparent with numerous videos posted on Facebook and YouTube showcasing the local talent. All future musicians and no doubt soon to be featured on FreeRocker.com.

Who is this man, you ask? Well, this veritable Pied Piper of rock has become the small town of Castlegar's brain child of their version of School of Rock. Yanive Feiner, who has been a musician in his own right for many years has set up shop and now has a strong and talented following of British Columbia youth who are interested in the finer points of guitar, percussion, production, voice, and bass just to name a few. He also takes appointments for online guitar lessons via video chat. So, if you have had a hankerin' for some lessons, hit him up.

It only seemed appropriate to let people know about what can be accomplished when you have passion driving your career forward. Not to mention making sure that the youth of today don't all turn to musical crack, AKA: Spears, Montana, Bieber. The foundation for true music is being set, and my future ears will thank him for it.

Yanive has a website, so make sure you head over and send him well wishes for the work he's doing with all his students. He has also been hard at work creating a cross-country, cross-border, cross-nation benefit show to help families get through some very hard times. That benefit show is discussed in another article...so read it.

You can get a hold of Yanive Feiner by going to www.SupercatStudios.com.

If you are a band and would like to participate in Musical Bridges, please send us and email or get in touch with Yanive at Supercat Studios.
